Pelton turbines in own design from 50 to 1000 metres of head

Due to our design there are only two bearings in the entire turbine. The turbine housing also serves as a foundation for the generator and for the water intake manifold. 

 

Because of these design features our turbines are very compact units. Turbine and generator can also be assembled and tested together in the workshop prior to delivery.

 

Assembly in the power station is very simple due to the fact that complicated foundations and alignment of turbine and generator are unnecessary with our design.

 

We manufacture turbine wheels of our own design in high quality chrome-nickel steel.

 

We also design our own molds for casting og machining turbine buckets.

All calculations, production and quality control are carried out in accordance with approved standards. We deliver certificates and/or declaration of conformity according to EU-standards for all parts of our equipment.

 

Our prototype turbine is currently operating in our own power station. It is also used for testing and quality assurance of new designs, including control and governing systems.

 

Today we have over10 years of valuable experience in small power station operation.

Our operation experience has provided a unique opportunity to specially adapt our equipment to Norwegian conditions; with (among other things) icing problems, large amounts of leaves in intake screens and a highly varying rate of flow.

We have also developed several types of electric switchboards as well as control- and governing systems.  This equipment can of course be tailor-made to suit the customers’ needs. In order to supply our customers with information about potential and costs as soon as possible, we have compiled data models and computer programs enabling us to present the necessary data for turbine design within a few minutes. It is a prerequisite that the customer can supply us with the necessary input, consisting of head of water, medium run-off, catchment area and length of waterway. With these data available we are able to calculate turbine and waterway costs, and can then supply the customer with a budget price for equipment and an estimate of the total economy of his project.
