Energi Teknikk AS aims to be the leading Norwegian supplier of solid, efficient, practical and cost-effective solutions for small hydro power plants

Energi Teknikk AS was founded in 1998 by Rune Hansen, Eivind Tvedt and Paul Hovda. It started with Eivinds desire to make use of the waterfall on his farm. It soon became obvious that it was difficult to find a supplier who could deliver the desired quality for an acceptable price. Due to this Rune and Eivind proceeded to develop their own Pelton turbine in co-operation with Sunnhordland Mekaniske Verksted, owned by the Hovda family. 

When installed the turbine proved to perform very well, and they soon realized that this was a product which could be of use to others! Due to this, the entrepreneurs continued to develop both turbine and control and governing system. Currently close to 60 plants have been completed and the company have signed contracts for over 20 more.

Due to the companys rapid expansion and the need to further develop the organization and market, the entrepreneurs took it upon themselves to make contact with external investors to gain access to assets and expertise. Energi og Miljøkapital AS were chosen and the company now have a very positive outlook on the future.

The company are located in Dimmelsvik on the west coast of Norway (approx. 2 hrs from Bergen) and currently employ 12 persons within sales, project management and engineering.

To date we have delivered close to 60 powerplants which currently are in operation, we also have 20 more under construction.
